ITC Bintang Toastmasters Club International Speech Contest and Table Topic Contest 2010/2011.

JANUARY 21, 2011

ITC Bintang Toastmasters Club International Speech Contest and Table Topic Contest 2010/2011.

An annual speech contests is an honorable Toastmaster tradition. It is an exciting event not only because it gives the speakers a chance to demonstrate the skills they learned or improved during their toastmaster’s careers, but also provides a great opportunity to the audience to enjoy the performance and cheer for their fellow toastmasters.

For the International speech contest of 2010/2011 we had four contestants fighting for the honor to represent our club on the area level. It was a battle of titans. We would like to express our gratitude to all participants for the great effort they made to be on the stage and to compete.

They are:

¢ Chong Sun Fu with “Unlock your mind, free your life”

¢ Jeffrey Teh Theng Seng, “All is mindset”

¢ Christina Lim with “How can we be happy at work place”

¢ Nicholas Yan, “Belief”

We also would like to congratulate Chong Sun Fu, our first place winner, who will represent ITC Bintang TMC on the area level.

And the first runner up - Jeffrey Teh Theng Seng.

The annual Table Topic contest was a very popular one this year. I wish we had that many volunteers for Table Topics during the club meetings! We had 8 contestants competing for the opportunity to represent ITC Bintang TMC on the area level:

¢ Ivan Cheng

¢ Loh Chuan Seng

¢ Chong Sun Fu

¢ Gaelle Linard

¢ Victoria Lai

¢ Jeffrey Teh Theng Seng

¢ Robin Yap

¢ Sayan Ganguly

Thank you all the contestants for your courage to face the Table Topics in front of the judges and guests.

Our congratulations to the winners:

Fist place – Ivan Cheng, who will represent ITC Bintang TMC on the area level.

Second place - Loh Chuan Seng

Third place - Chong Sun Fu

Our appreciation goes to the Chief Judge of the Contest - Distinguished Toastmaster SKL Walia and her great team of esteemed judges.
